A collaborative initiative between the Governments of Samoa and Australia, launched in June 2022 as part of the Tautua – Human Development for All program. Through strategic partnerships with organizations such as the Samoa Victim Support Group, the Samoa Family Health Association, Samoa Women Association of Growers, and Women In Business Development Inc, the program implements various initiatives to promote gender equality and support women's rights.

The Samoa National Youth Policy provides a strategic framework to empower young people aged 18 to 35 by guiding their social and economic development. It aligns youth priorities with national programs, promotes active participation in sectors like agriculture, and strengthens coordination and monitoring of youth initiatives—creating opportunities for youth to contribute meaningfully to Samoa’s growth.
Through the Oloamanu Centre, the National University of Samoa offers short courses designed to build practical skills and support lifelong learning. These accessible programs empower individuals and communities with knowledge in areas such as leadership, entrepreneurship, and digital literacy—contributing to national capacity and development.
As part of its commitment to youth leadership and regional engagement, the Tautua Program supported delegates to the Pacific Australia Youth Association (PAYA) forum. The delegates represented Samoa with pride, sharing insights, building networks, and contributing to important conversations on Pacific development and youth empowerment.
The Tautua Program provided support to Civil Society Organisations through capacity-building initiatives, resource sharing, and collaborative engagement. This effort strengthens the vital role CSOs play in community development, advocacy, and service delivery across Samoa.
In partnership with the Samoa Bureau of Statistics, Tautua supports the Demographic and Health Survey – Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (DHS-MICS) to collect vital data on health, education, nutrition, and social indicators. The 2025 survey updates key national statistics to support evidence-based policy and development planning, using digital methods for efficient and accurate data collection.
Funded by the Tautua Program, the Resilient Spirit Portraits of Samoan Women Warriors project was launched by the Ministry of Women, Community, and Social Development to honor the strength, resilience, and legacy of Samoan women—past and present. The initiative features portraits of 30 extraordinary women warriors, accompanied by a commemorative book and a documentary exploring their inspiring stories. The launch included a high-level dialogue and documentary trailer premiere, celebrating the enduring spirit of Samoan women and inspiring future generations.
